Is my children's data safe in Flipr?

You want to give your child a magical story experience. But before you create a profile with your child's name, photo, and family details — you naturally want to know: is that data safe? It is a completely legitimate question. And you deserve an honest answer.

Yes, your children's data is safe in Flipr. We comply with GDPR and only store necessary information such as name and birth year to personalize the stories. We delete original selfies after use, never sell your data, and always give you full control to delete your information permanently.

What information does Flipr store about my child?

Flipr stores the following information when you create a profile:

The child's name and birth year — used to adapt the stories to the child's age and personalize the experience.

Avatar images — if you upload a selfie, it is used to generate your child's avatar. The original image is not stored after the avatar is generated.

Character information — names and types of the characters you create (family, friends, pets).

Stories — the generated stories are saved so you can read them again.

Payment information — handled by our payment provider and not stored on Flipr's servers.

Why does Flipr need my and my child's data?

Flipr uses your data for one purpose: to give your child the best and most personal story experience.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use them for advertising. We do not share them with other companies.

How does Flipr ensure they comply with GDPR rules?

Yes. Flipr is a Danish company and complies with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This means, among other things, that:

You can request to have your data deleted at any time
You can see what data we have stored about you
We only store data for which we have a legitimate purpose

We never ask children to create their own accounts — it is always the parent who creates and manages the profile

What happens to the photos I upload of my child?

If you choose to upload a selfie of your child to generate an avatar, we process the image as follows:

The image is sent to our AI system which generates a cartoon avatar
The original photo is deleted after the avatar is generated
Only the avatar is saved — not the original image

You can delete the avatar from your profile at any time.

How can I delete my account and my data at Flipr?

Yes — you can delete your account and all associated data at any time. This is done under Settings → Account → Delete account.

When your account is deleted, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Is my child's name visible in stories on Flipr's website?

Flipr publishes a selection of highly rated stories on fliprworld.com for inspiration. Before a story is published, it is completely anonymized:

All personal names are replaced with the names of Flipr's fox family
All avatar images are replaced with illustrations of the fox family
No personally identifiable information is included in the published stories

You can opt out of your stories being included in this program at any time under Settings.

Is Flipr safe to use for my family?

Flipr only stores what is necessary to give your child the best experience. We do not sell data, do not share data, and comply fully with GDPR.
