The language grows with the child. Little ones get short, gentle stories; older kids get more complexity and length.
The child is the hero
With a personalized 3D avatar, your child becomes the main character – not just a listener to someone else's adventure.
Plenty of different themes
Fairytales, animals, friendship, courage, historical heroes, or space travel. You choose – and you can always try something new.
Ready in under a minute
No ads, no waiting time. Choose a theme and length, and the story is ready when the child is.
Why are personalized stories better for kids?
Classic children's books are fantastic, but they are the same for everyone. When your child hears about the same princess or the same bear for the tenth time, their attention drops. Personalized stories solve exactly that: every story is new, and the child is the protagonist.
Research indicates that personalization increases children's engagement, vocabulary, and ability to remember the story. It is the same effect we recognize as adults when something suddenly becomes about ourselves.
Flipr was built by parents who missed a quality app without ads or repetitions. The result is children's stories that both entertain and develop – and that the child never gets bored of.

Frequently asked questions about our stories
Which themes are available?
Fairytales, animals, friendship, courage, historical heroes, space travel, vikings, dinosaurs, sports, princesses, and many more. You can even write your own request and let Flipr build a story based on it.
How long are the stories?
You choose the length – from 5-minute bedtime stories to longer adventures of 15-20 minutes. Perfect for adapting to any situation.
Can multiple children share an account?
Yes. You can create profiles for several children, each with their own avatar, age, and preferred themes. The stories automatically adapt to the child who is listening.
Are there ads in the app?
No. Flipr is completely ad-free. We also never sell children's data to third parties – that is important to us as parents ourselves.
Which stories suit which age?
For 3-5-year-olds, short stories with recognizable everyday situations work best: a trip to the beach, a new friend at preschool, or a lost teddy bear. Keep it to 5-8 minutes with few characters.
From 6-8 years old, the child can follow a real plot with a problem that needs solving. Themes like friendship, courage, and small conflicts are great here – and the length can easily be 10-15 minutes.
9-10-year-olds want stories with something at stake and protagonists that resemble themselves. Mysteries, sports, historical heroes, and space travel hit the mark, and the language should provide a little challenge.
What makes a good children's story?
A good story has one clear main character, one problem, and an ending that provides a sense of peace. Too many characters or subplots cause the child to lose the thread.
It should also give the child something to recognize in themselves. Emotions like jealousy, nervousness, or pride become easier to talk about once they've been seen in a main character.
And it should be able to withstand being read again. Children ask for the same story because repetition feels safe – and because they discover new details every time.
What time of day do stories work best?
Evening is the classic time, and it works: a calm story lowers the tempo and signals that the day is coming to an end. Choose a gentle story rather than an action-packed one right before sleep.
But stories are also lifesavers during waiting times – in the car, at the doctor, or in the supermarket queue. Here, the story can afford to be more exciting because it's competing with boredom.
Many families also use a story in the mid-afternoon as a break between school and dinner. That is often when fatigue makes the day difficult.
How do you get the most out of the story together?
Stop once along the way and ask: 'What do you think happens now?' That one question transforms listening into active participation and strengthens both language and memory.
Let the child choose the theme. Ownership matters more for engagement than the content itself – and it also gives you a hint about what's on the child's mind right now.
Talk briefly about the story afterward. Not as a test, but as a chat: What was the best part? What would you have done? That is when the story becomes something the child takes with them.
